Protecting biodiversity with
our partner missions

At CAOYA, protecting biodiversity is at the heart of everything we do, and a hands-on commitment. We support missions led by organisations dedicated to birds, pollinators and forests every day.

By choosing our ethical chocolate, you actively support these missions and protect nature.

Protecting biodiversity: at the heart of our mission

In our lives, there are presences we barely notice anymore. The song of a blackbird in spring. A swallow crossing the sky. The hum of a bee in a garden.

These presences are signs that nature is doing well. Yet they are becoming rarer.

In France, farmland bird populations have fallen by 32.5% over 25 years (LPO, 2026). Nearly 80% of pollinating insects have disappeared in Europe in under 30 years. The same imbalances affect the tropical lands where cacao grows.

Because we understand the importance of biodiversity, we want to go further.

Our commitment: 10% to protect biodiversity

10% of what we generate is donated to nature protection missions, starting in France and then in regions of the world where biodiversity is even more threatened.

We commit to selecting tangible projects, whose results will be shared with you, right here on this page.

Each year, new missions will join this commitment, with special editions always linked to the protection of nature.

The missions we wish to support

We have chosen two French organisations whose field work is particularly close to our hearts. And we want to highlight them now and explain why we chose them.

Protecting birds with LPO France

Founded in 1912, the LPO (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux) works every day to protect birds, preserve their habitats and raise awareness among the general public, across France.

In the field, the LPO manages nature reserves, coordinates species conservation programmes at a European scale and takes legal action to uphold nature protection.

Through its nest protection work in French agricultural plains, species such as the Montagu’s harrier, which nests directly on the ground in wheat fields, can still breed where farming machinery once condemned them.

Birds are one of the most reliable indicators of ecosystem health. Where they still sing, nature is doing well. It is this conviction, shared with the LPO, that drives us to act now.

Protecting biodiversity with Un Toit Pour Les Abeilles

We wish to support Un Toit Pour Les Abeilles, a mission-driven company founded in 2010 that allows everyone to sponsor a beehive and directly support a French beekeeper.

Since its creation, more than 20,000 hives have been installed across France, supporting over 800 million bees.

Partner beekeepers are paid up to five times the market price, enabling them to practise beekeeping that respects nature.

Bees and pollinators ensure the reproduction of 75% of the world’s food crops. Without them, forests and farmland would lose a great part of their balance.

This is why we chose to support them: protecting pollinators means preserving a balance that is vital to life, and to our food.

Protecting biodiversity with our chocolate

This is only the beginning. Protecting biodiversity goes far beyond the lands where cacao grows: it is our deepest commitment, our way of giving back to nature what it gives us.

By choosing our chocolate, you contribute to a world where birds still sing, where bees still hum. A chocolate that protects as much as it delights.
