Cocoa becomes the starting point to support the ecosystems that give life to it, protect the species that live there, and contribute to the regeneration of natural environments.
Cocoa farming contributes directly to deforestation in some regions of the world. Conventional agriculture exhausts soils and drives the destruction of natural habitats to maintain production.
At CAOYA, we choose a different path, selecting terroirs where cocoa is not synonymous with destruction.
By choosing an agroforestry model in Indonesia, the Dominican Republic, Panama and Peru, our cocoa grows alongside other trees and crops, helping recreate ecosystems where wildlife can thrive.
Our ethical chocolate is an invitation to rediscover the true taste of terroir, while contributing to nature’s vitality.
Each bar directly supports the protection of nature.
10% of our profits are donated to NGOs working to preserve biodiversity, forests, soils and threatened species, such as birds, pollinators, and more.
We aim to create irresistible chocolates to reconnect people with nature and act for biodiversity.
Today, agroforestry is our foundation for preserving the living world, but we don’t intend to stop there.
Our next challenge? Using cacao from regenerative agriculture is our long-term ambition, as we work towards practices that actively heal our soils. One more step towards a chocolate that gives back to the earth more than it takes.
Our wish? Beyond chocolate, we want a future where farming practices that protect ecosystems become the norm.
We want conscious pleasure to become an everyday habit. A chocolate chosen for its taste, but also for what it stands for, and for the world it helps shape.
We are working hand in hand with our suppliers towards certification of our chocolates, to make our commitments increasingly clear and transparent.
